Have you ever tried to race a train to the crossing? Sometimes you JUST make it across before it gets there, sometimes you have to slam on the brakes. That is what my life feels like sometimes.
My son's doctor and his therapist are having a pissing contest over who is right and what meds he needs. All I know is what he has been given hasn't worked for him. The doctor conceded to one thing and switched one of his meds. He, however, did not switch my son to the Rx that the therapist suggested becuz he said it isn't all that wonderful for teenagers. Okay. All I know is my son isn't better and he is about ready to give up that he will EVER feel better.
I got a call from his school summoning me to a 'Tribunal' two days after vacation ends...a room full of teachers and administrators and me. What shall we do about TJ? I have heard it all before.
And tonight all I got was grief from the daddy about it...A-gain. All his paycheck that is being spent on doctors, medicines, etc...and it's all in his head anyway...no one knows what their doing...I'm babying him...he's playing me...the therapist doesn't know what he's talking about...the doctor doesnt' know what he's doing...the kid is going to be nothing...yada yada yada. The daddy came home from his excursion all smiles and happy last night...he was fine this morning when I left to do some last minute shopping. But by the time I got back someone had flipped his switch.
I know two things...I need to find someway for my son to get better. If this new med that the doctor is trying does not work, I am taking my son to another one. This doctor has had over 2 years to get it...and so far he hasn't. The second thing I know is I am freaking tired of having to defend my son's condition with everyone...school teachers, administration and HIS FATHER.
Merry frickin' Christmas. At least the daddy will be back off to London after Christmas and I will get to take the kids up to visit my parents without him. I need a break...and my kids need to have a chance for some new scenery for a few days.
I seriously do hope you all have a wonderful holiday!
I bet when you get your break it will do you all good. I hope so.
You want me to send you some lavender and a smudge stick?

Lavendar would be great! I have yet to find some place to get it around here. I guess I'm just not looking in the right places.
Merry Merry!
